Echinacea Purpurea

By Natures Sunshine
Echinacea Purpurea 263 NSP
  • Promotes immune defense system.
  • Creates an unfriendly environment for bacteria.

Echinacea Purpurea Information and Usage

Nature's Sunshine Echinacea Purpurea has been shown to stimulate the immune system by increasing the activity of certain immune cells and by promoting the release of cytokines (cellular communication and regulatory molecules) from these immune cells. Echinacea Purpurea bears purple flowers that resemble black-eyed Susans. Active compounds in echinacea include polysaccharides, glycoproteins, alkamides, volatile oils and flavonoids. Several laboratory and animal studies suggest that echinacea contains active substances that enhance the activity of the immune system and have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. Each capsule contains 400 mg Echinacea purpurea herb and root.

Echinacea has similar properties to Parthenium, but it is superior in its actions and is more widely used and therefore better-known for its immune-defense-system mechanisms.
