Natures Sunshine Calcium Plus Vitamin D is a formula that provides nutritional support to the bones, ligaments, skin and tendons.
It also works to maintain the right pH balance in the body. The ingredients in this formula are derived from natural bone meal and blended with other minerals such as phosphorus. You get a ratio of 2:1 of both calcium and phosphorus and calcium and magnesium. Without these balanced ratios, you can lose one or more of these mineral ingredients before they can be properly used.
Together, these ingredients work in synergy to give the body what it needs to thrive. For example, calcium is important for muscle contractions. Phosphorus works with B vitamins to maintain the right balance of fluid in the body, while vitamin D helps calcium work properly.
Adults need a minimum of 400 mg of vitamin D and many people don't get that much. Vitamin D is produced through sunshine exposure, however not everyone gets enough sunshine each day and may need a supplement like this one.
